Description
Describe the bug
2026-02-22.02-17-29.mp4
I have relatively unconventional monitor arrangement.
My external display is held a little higher, so I have configured it as seen in the video.
On the right is my laptop. On the left is my external display.
If I repeatedly press the WinKey fast, then the menu renders at one place, but if I repeat slowly, it renders elsewhere.
Either way, both are wrong.
If I use mouse to click on start button, then it renders correctly, but submenus are still wrongly placed.
Not seen in video:
For example, I type USBIp in the earch bar and press enter, the application opens, but I don't see the results as it would normally appear. It is clear that the submenus are rendered somewhere out of visible area.
Any way to fix this?
Area of issue
Start menu
To reproduce
- Use two displays such that the bottom edges are far away.
- Set the classic with two columns
- Use keyboard's WinKey to open the start menu
- Try typing something, or opening a submenu.
Expected behavior
No response
Open-Shell version
4.4.196
Windows version
Windows 11 25H2 (OS Build 26200.7840)
Additional context
Windows 11 25H2 (OS Build 26200.7840) is shown in the winver window.
On bottom right, the version shown is different. No idea why (problem with ExplorerPatcher maybe?)
